Vancity Flows: The 5 elements interviews and showcases Hip Hop artists from Vancouver who share their creative experiences in the industry and give advice to up and coming performers or anyone looking to get into the arts. The goal is to share and spread Hip Hop culture through the five elements of Breakdancing, MCing, DJing, Graffiti art, and Beatboxing. We hope to take this pilot and use it to create a full TV series.
Featured Artists: Little T, J-Kay, Phat Dawg, Jak Drum, Tyler Skyy, & Cody Lecoy

Every year, students and faculty from the BCIT Television & Video Production Program volunteer time, equipment, and expertise to produce content for the annual World Partnership Walk in Vancouver’s Stanley Park. The walk generates millions of dollars in charitable donations to help end global poverty.
Our volunteers produced content for the main-stage LED screen, as well as covering the entire event with the same portable high-definition production equipment that we utilize in our program!
Each year our first and second-year Television & Video Production students travel to the annual National Association of Broadcasters / Broadcast Educators Association conference in Las Vegas. It’s amazing opportunity to network with other industry professionals, and experience the state of the art in broadcast and production equipment!
The students had some great companies helping to sponsor their trip as well
Approximately 35 BCIT Broadcast students from the Broadcast & Online Journalism, Television & Video Production, and Radio Arts & Entertainment programs have traveled to Prince George, B.C. to take part in producing programming for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
Please follow us on Facebook or Twitter to see the day-to-day progress of our students at this amazing event!
We had a chance to tour around SIM Digital and Bling Digital with our first-year Television & Video Production students this past Monday. Always great to see such an amazing local facility, and especially when they’ve hired so many of our alumni – we ran into them in every department we visited!
